In early November directors and local supporters of the EB Research Foundation self-funded a trip to New York to visit our partners in the USA. The team was given a tour of the research facilities at Columbia University and met with key players from the North American EB Research Community.
“The trip was amazing. It was great to meet such wonderful people who are working hard for the same thing we are – a cure… Its stunning to think about how far we have come in such a short time and its great to be part of an international team that we know is leading the way. I think we’ve all come back even more motivated than ever.” said Corey Wilkes, EB Research Foundation Director.

The Cotton Ball - Public launch of Australia’s new EB Research Foundation.
Sat 29 April 2017
Tonight, at the Cotton Ball, we embark on an exciting journey – with the public launch of Australia’s new EB Research Foundation.
Our sole purpose is to bring about a cure for this devastating disease as soon as possible. It’s only then that the pain and suffering will truly end. We know it’s a bold ambition and likely to be a long, expensive and challenging endeavor. But we are confident we have the right model and team in place to make it happen. And tonight we have raised more than $400K to get us one step closer to a cure.
If you’ve landed here, you know where to come to find the latest news on the EB Research Foundation and upcoming fundraising events. I sincerely hope you keep coming back to watch our progress. On behalf of the board, I’d like to invite you to help us in our quest. We look forward to bringing you along for the ride.
Director EB Research Foundation
Co-Chairman The Cotton Ball.
